Check out the 2016 Morgan Impact Award winners!

Three hundred fifty people gathered at the NEOMED Education and Wellness (NEW) Center on Nov. 10 for a festive dinner and awards ceremony to celebrate the winners of the annual Impact Awards presented by The Margaret Clark Foundation, a Hudson non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of people with serious mental illness.

The four awardees represent the Foundation’s support of mental wellness, the arts and education through projects—such as ongoing work funded at NEOMED—that make a transformational impact at the national level. NEOMED is the ongoing beneficiary of the Foundation’s major support of the University’s Best Practices in Schizophrenia Treatment (BeST) Center, led by Patrice (Patti) Fetzer, and of its work in psychiatry, led by Mark R. Munetz, M.D., the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation Endowed Chair and Professor of Psychiatry.

2016 Impact Award winner Alison Malmon’s work through her organization Active Minds aligns with NEOMED’s commitment to mental health and suicide prevention, demonstrated through the University’s provision of counseling and additional support. Active Minds raises awareness about mental health on college campuses with a goal of reducing the number of suicides among college students.
