July 10, 2017

More than 200 health care executives and practitioners recently convened at The NEW Center to discuss social, economic and business implications of some of the top threats to our region’s health.

Elizabeth McIntyre, publisher and editor of Crain’s Cleveland Business, moderated a panel of health care executives in a discussion of hot-button topics that assessed the current state of health care and its future outlook in the Northeast Ohio region.

Four interactive discussions, “Stat Chats” focused on key issues facing the health of Northeast Ohioans. Each topic area was kicked off by an expert discussing the issue’s current status and impact. Case study presentations followed, during which attendees had the chance to learn about some of the innovative solutions taking place in Northeast Ohio. Table discussions took place after each expert/case study, with sample input collected from the tables and shared with the audience. Stat Chat topics included:

  • AGING POPULATION
  • BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND THE WORKPLACE
  • OPIOID/DRUG ABUSE
  •  MENTAL HEALTH

Lunch, prepared by the in-house catering team, lead by Executive Chef, Xavier Smith, concluded the event.
